Metrozine Tab 200mg
Metronidazole 200mg tablets for anaerobic infections, amoebiasis, and protozoal infections.
Metrozine 200mg contains metronidazole, a nitroimidazole antibiotic and antiprotozoal that damages microbial DNA. It is used for anaerobic bacterial infections, amoebiasis, giardiasis, trichomoniasis, and Helicobacter pylori eradication as part of combination therapy. Also used for bacterial vaginosis and dental infections when indicated.
Purpose
Treatment of anaerobic bacterial infections, amoebiasis, giardiasis, trichomoniasis, and as part of H. pylori eradication regimens.
Ingredients
Metronidazole 200mg per tablet.
Warnings
Avoid alcohol during treatment and for at least 48 hours after; disulfiram-like reaction may occur. Caution in hepatic impairment and in pregnancy (first trimester). Report numbness or tingling.
Side Effects
Nausea, metallic taste, anorexia, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness. Prolonged use may cause peripheral neuropathy. Avoid alcohol during and for 48 hours after treatment.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep in original container; protect from light.
