Mezeron 30mg Tab
Mesalazine 30mg (or equivalent) for inflammatory bowel disease.
Mezeron 30mg contains mesalazine (5-aminosalicylic acid) in delayed or extended-release formulation for inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease). The 30mg strength may be per sachet or tablet; typical doses are 1.2–4.8g daily. Take as directed; swallow whole.
Purpose
Treatment of mild to moderate ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease when prescribed.
Ingredients
Mesalazine (5-aminosalicylic acid) 30mg per tablet (or equivalent as per pack).
Warnings
Contraindicated in salicylate hypersensitivity and severe renal impairment. Monitor renal function. Report blood in stool or worsening symptoms.
Side Effects
Nausea, diarrhoea, headache, rash. Rare: nephrotoxicity, blood dyscrasias. Report fever, rash, or reduced urine output.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack; protect from moisture.
