Moduretic (5/50mg) 100 Tablets
Amiloride 5mg and Hydrochlorothiazide 50mg for hypertension and edema.
Moduretic 5/50mg contains amiloride 5mg and hydrochlorothiazide 50mg, a potassium-sparing diuretic combination for hypertension and edema. Amiloride helps prevent potassium loss caused by HCTZ. Take once daily as directed. Pack of 100 tablets.
Purpose
Treatment of hypertension and edema (e.g. heart failure, liver disease) when potassium conservation is needed.
Ingredients
Amiloride hydrochloride 5mg and Hydrochlorothiazide 50mg per tablet.
Warnings
Monitor potassium; risk of hyperkalemia. Contraindicated in hyperkalemia, severe renal impairment. Avoid potassium supplements. May increase sensitivity to sunlight.
Side Effects
Dizziness, headache, nausea, hyperkalemia (amiloride), hyponatremia, photosensitivity.
Storage Instructions
