Montika 5mg Tab
Montelukast 5mg tablets for asthma and allergic rhinitis.
Montika 5mg contains montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks cysteinyl leukotriene receptors. Used for asthma (prophylaxis and chronic treatment), exercise-induced bronchoconstriction, and allergic rhinitis. The 5mg strength is typically for children 6 to 14 years. Take once daily in the evening. Pack of tablets.
Purpose
Prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma; relief of allergic rhinitis; prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction.
Ingredients
Montelukast sodium equivalent to 5mg montelukast per tablet.
Warnings
Not for relief of acute asthma attacks. Use rescue inhaler for acute symptoms. Report mood changes, agitation, or suicidal thoughts.
Side Effects
Headache, abdominal pain, thirst, fatigue. Rare: mood or behaviour changes, sleep disturbance. Report psychiatric symptoms to doctor.
