Griseofulvin 250mg tablets for fungal skin and nail infections.
Mycoderm (250mg) contains griseofulvin, an antifungal used for dermatophyte infections of the skin, hair, and nails when topical therapy is not suitable. The 250mg strength is for once or twice daily dosing. Take with fatty food for absorption; complete the full course.
Purpose
Treatment of dermatophyte infections of the skin, hair, and nails when topical therapy is not suitable.
Ingredients
Griseofulvin 250mg per tablet (microsize or ultramicrosize as per pack).
Warnings
Contraindicated in porphyria and severe hepatic failure. Avoid alcohol (disulfiram-like reaction). Photosensitivity; use sunscreen. Report signs of liver dysfunction.
Side Effects
Headache, nausea, diarrhoea, photosensitivity, rash. Rare: hepatotoxicity, lupus-like syndrome. Report unexplained fatigue, dark urine, or rash.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack; protect from light and moisture.
