Antibiotic and steroid eye ointment 10/0.25% 3.5g for infected inflamed eyes.
Mydosone (10/0.25%) 3.5g Eye Ointment combines antibiotic (e.g. neomycin or similar) 10% with corticosteroid 0.25% for bacterial eye infections with inflammation. Apply as directed; usually at bedtime. Do not use in viral keratitis.
Purpose
Treatment of steroid-responsive inflammatory eye conditions with bacterial infection when combination therapy is appropriate.
Ingredients
Antibiotic (e.g. neomycin) 10% and corticosteroid (e.g. prednisolone) 0.25% w/w; 3.5g.
Warnings
Do not use in viral or fungal keratitis unless specifically prescribed. Prolonged use may increase IOP. Report eye pain or blurred vision.
Side Effects
Increased intraocular pressure, delayed healing, blurred vision. Report eye pain, vision changes, or worsening redness.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C. Discard after opening within period stated. Keep out of reach of children.
