Sacubitril and valsartan (ARNI) for heart failure.
Natrilam (1.5/5mg) contains sacubitril and valsartan (ARNI) for heart failure with reduced ejection fraction. The 1.5/5mg may be a low strength or designation; typical doses are 24/26mg or 49/51mg twice daily. Take as directed; do not use with ACE inhibitors.
Purpose
Treatment of chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction when prescribed.
Ingredients
Sacubitril and valsartan; strengths as per pack (e.g. 24/26mg or 49/51mg).
Warnings
Contraindicated with ACE inhibitors and in pregnancy. Do not use with aliskiren in diabetic patients. Monitor potassium and renal function. Report angioedema.
Side Effects
Hypotension, hyperkalaemia, cough, dizziness. Rare: angioedema. Report swelling of face or throat or fainting.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack; protect from moisture.
