Neframin Tab
Alpha ketoanalogues and essential amino acids for nutritional support in chronic kidney disease.
Neframin contains alpha ketoanalogues and essential amino acids, used as nutritional therapy in chronic kidney disease (CKD). The ketoanalogues are converted to amino acids using nitrogen from urea, reducing nitrogen load while supporting protein nutrition. It is used in advanced CKD with low-protein diets to help prevent protein malnutrition and limit uremic toxin buildup.
Purpose
Dietary management of chronic kidney disease; adjunct to low-protein diet.
Ingredients
Alpha ketoanalogue calcium salts (leucine, valine, phenylalanine, isoleucine, methionine) and essential amino acids (lysine, threonine, histidine, tyrosine, tryptophan).
Warnings
Use only under medical supervision with a prescribed low-protein diet. Not a substitute for dialysis or other CKD treatments.
Side Effects
Generally well-tolerated. Rare gastrointestinal discomfort or hypercalcemia with high intake.
Storage Instructions
Store in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture. Keep container tightly closed.
