It contains two different medicines called naproxen and esomeprazole. Each of these medicines works in a different way. Naproxen belongs to a group of medicines called “Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs†(NSAIDs). It reduces pain and inflammation. Esomeprazole belongs to a group of medicines called “proton pump inhibitorsâ€. It reduces the amount of acid in your stomach.

Warnings
Medicines such as this may be associated with a small increase in the risk of heart attack (myocardial infarction) or stroke. Any risk is more likely with high doses and long lasting treatment. Avoid exceed the recommended dose or length of treatment.
It is not suitable to achieve rapid relief of acute pain, as it takes several hours before the painkilling substance naproxen is taken up in your blood.
Taking a proton pump inhibitor (which is a component of this medicine), especially over a period of more than one year, may slightly increase your risk of fracture in the hip, wrist or spine. Tell your doctor if you have osteoporosis or if you are taking corticosteroids (which can increase the risk of osteoporosis).
Side Effects
Dizziness , headache , dysgeusia , hypertension , GI upset , arthralgia , oedema . GI bleeding , ulceration or perforation , rash . Serious skin reactions ( discontinue ) and hepatic reactions .
