Olanzapine 5mg tablets for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
Olan 5mg contains olanzapine, an atypical antipsychotic that antagonizes dopamine and serotonin receptors. Used for schizophrenia, acute manic or mixed episodes in bipolar I disorder, and as adjunct in depression. The 5mg strength is often used as starting or maintenance dose. Take once daily as directed. Pack of 10 tablets.

Warnings
Not for dementia-related psychosis (increased mortality in elderly). Risk of metabolic changes; monitor glucose and lipids. May cause drowsiness; avoid driving until effects known.
Side Effects
Weight gain, somnolence, dry mouth, dizziness. Risk of metabolic syndrome, hyperglycemia, dyslipidemia. Rare: NMS, tardive dyskinesia.
