Olmis A 5/20mg is a fixed-dose combination of amlodipine 5mg (calcium channel blocker) and olmesartan 20mg (angiotensin II receptor blocker). Both relax blood vessels to lower blood pressure. Used for hypertension when single-agent therapy is inadequate. Take once daily.

Purpose

Treatment of hypertension in adults.

Ingredients

Amlodipine (as besylate) 5mg and Olmesartan medoxomil 20mg per tablet.

Warnings

Not for use in pregnancy. Caution in renal or hepatic impairment. Avoid with aliskiren in diabetes or renal impairment.

Side Effects

Edema, headache, dizziness, flushing, nausea. May cause hypotension or hyperkalemia.
