Risperidone 4mg tablets for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
Oridone (4mg) contains risperidone, an atypical antipsychotic for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. The 4mg strength is for once or twice daily dosing. Take as directed; do not stop abruptly.
Purpose
Treatment of schizophrenia; short-term treatment of manic episodes in bipolar I disorder; treatment of irritability associated with autism when prescribed.
Ingredients
Risperidone 4mg per tablet.
Warnings
Increased mortality in elderly with dementia-related psychosis. Caution in cardiovascular disease and epilepsy. Avoid abrupt withdrawal. Report tardive dyskinesia.
Side Effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, headache, fatigue, weight gain, extrapyramidal symptoms. Elderly with dementia: increased risk of stroke and death. Report unexplained fever or muscle rigidity.
