Oxidil (2g) Iv Injection is ceftriaxone or another cephalosporin antibiotic for serious bacterial infections. The 2g strength is for intravenous administration by a healthcare professional. Used for meningitis, sepsis, and other susceptible infections.
Purpose
Treatment of serious bacterial infections including meningitis, sepsis, and complicated infections when prescribed.
Ingredients
Ceftriaxone (or equivalent cephalosporin) 2g per vial.
Warnings
Contraindicated in cephalosporin hypersensitivity. Caution in penicillin allergy. Administer only by trained personnel. Complete full course.
Side Effects
Diarrhoea, rash, injection-site reactions. Rare: pseudomembranous colitis, allergic reactions. Report severe diarrhoea or rash.
Storage Instructions
