Paliris Xr (1.5mg) 10 Tablets
Paliperidone XR 1.5mg tablets for schizophrenia.
Paliris Xr (1.5mg) contains paliperidone in extended-release formulation, an atypical antipsychotic for schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. The 1.5mg strength is for once-daily dosing. Take in the morning; swallow whole. Do not stop abruptly.
Purpose
Treatment of schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder when prescribed.
Ingredients
Paliperidone 1.5mg (extended-release) per tablet.
Warnings
Increased mortality in elderly with dementia-related psychosis. Caution in cardiovascular disease and epilepsy. Avoid abrupt withdrawal. May cause QT prolongation.
Side Effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, headache, weight gain, tachycardia, extrapyramidal symptoms. Elderly with dementia: increased risk of stroke and death. Report unexplained fever or muscle rigidity.
