Prolexa 20mg contains fluoxetine, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant. It increases serotonin in the brain and is used for major depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bulimia nervosa, and panic disorder. Manufactured by Genetics Pharma; supplied as film-coated tablets.
Purpose
Treatment of major depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bulimia nervosa, and panic disorder.
Ingredients
Fluoxetine (as hydrochloride) 20mg per tablet.
Warnings
Do not use with MAO inhibitors. Risk of suicidal thoughts in young adults; monitor closely. Do not stop abruptly.
Side Effects
Nausea, headache, insomnia, fatigue, diarrhea. Monitor for mood worsening or suicidal thoughts.
