Diclofenac 75mg and Misoprostol 200mcg for arthritis pain and gastric protection.
Rotec 75mg contains diclofenac sodium 75mg (NSAID) and misoprostol 200mcg. Diclofenac reduces pain and inflammation in arthritis and musculoskeletal conditions; misoprostol helps protect the stomach from NSAID-induced ulcers. Used for rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gout. Manufactured by Searle.
Purpose
Treatment of pain and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gout; misoprostol reduces NSAID-induced ulcer risk.
Ingredients
Diclofenac sodium 75mg (enteric-coated) and Misoprostol 200mcg per tablet.
Warnings
Contraindicated in pregnancy (misoprostol causes uterine contractions). Avoid in active peptic ulcer, severe heart failure. NSAIDs increase cardiovascular and GI risk.
Side Effects
Stomach upset, abdominal pain, diarrhea, headache. Risk of GI bleeding, cardiovascular events. May cause menorrhagia.
