Rosuvastatin , Ezetimibe
Warnings
Rosuvastatin is advised to be used with caution in patients who consume substantial quantities of alcohol and/or have a history of chronic liver disease .
A dose reduction is advised to be considered for patients on rosuvastatin/ezetimibe therapy with unexplained persistent proteinuria and/or hematuria during routine urinalysis testing.
Caution is advised to be exercised if rosuvastatin is administered concomitantly with drugs that may decrease the levels or activity of endogenous steroid hormones such as ketoconazole, spironolactone, and cimetidine.
Side Effects
• Headache • constipation • feeling sick • muscle pain • feeling weak • dizziness • diabetes. This is more likely if you have high levels of sugars and fats in your blood, are overweight and have high blood pressure. Your doctor will monitor you while you are taking this medicine. • stomach ache • diarrhoea • flatulence (excess gas in the intestinal tract) • feeling tired • elevations in some laboratory blood tests of liver function (transaminases).
