Iron 50mg/5ml syrup 120ml for iron deficiency anaemia.
Rubifer (50mg/5Ml) 120Ml Syrup is an iron (ferrous) supplement syrup 50mg/5ml for treatment and prevention of iron deficiency anaemia. Use as directed; do not exceed recommended dose. May cause dark stools.
Purpose
Treatment and prevention of iron deficiency anaemia when dietary intake is insufficient.
Ingredients
Ferrous salt (e.g. ferrous sulphate or fumarate) 50mg per 5ml; 120ml. May contain folic acid.
Warnings
Overdose can be fatal; keep out of reach of children. Do not take with antacids or tea within 2 hours. Consult a doctor if pregnant or if overdose is suspected.
Side Effects
Constipation, nausea, dark stools, gastric upset. Stools may turn dark; this is harmless.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C. Shake well before use. Keep in original container. Keep out of reach of children.
