Sitagliptin 50mg tablets for type 2 diabetes.
S Gliptin (50mg) contains sitagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases glucose-dependent insulin release. It is used for type 2 diabetes as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents. Take once daily as directed; may be taken with or without food.
Purpose
Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents.
Ingredients
Sitagliptin 50mg (as phosphate) per tablet.
Warnings
Contraindicated in diabetic ketoacidosis. Rare risk of pancreatitis. Not for type 1 diabetes. Report severe abdominal pain.
Side Effects
Headache, nasopharyngitis, upper respiratory infection, hypoglycaemia when combined with insulin or sulphonylurea. Rare: pancreatitis. Report severe abdominal pain.
