Sacuvia 100mg contains saxagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor for type 2 diabetes. It increases incretin-mediated insulin release. Take once daily with or without food. Pack of 14 tablets. Use with diet and exercise.

Purpose

Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus as monotherapy or with other antidiabetic agents.

Ingredients

Saxagliptin (as hydrochloride) per tablet; strength as per pack.

Warnings

Not for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Monitor for signs of pancreatitis and heart failure. Dose reduction in renal impairment.

Side Effects

Upper respiratory infection, headache, urinary tract infection. Rare: pancreatitis, heart failure.
