Sacuvia (50mg) 14 Tablets
Saxagliptin 50mg (or 5mg) tablets for type 2 diabetes.
Sacuvia (50mg) contains saxagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor for type 2 diabetes. Used as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents. The 50mg strength may be 5mg (usual dose); take once daily as directed.
Purpose
Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents.
Ingredients
Saxagliptin 50mg (or 5mg as per pack) per tablet.
Warnings
Contraindicated in diabetic ketoacidosis. Not for type 1 diabetes. Report severe abdominal pain.
Side Effects
Headache, nasopharyngitis, upper respiratory infection, hypoglycaemia when combined with insulin or sulphonylurea. Rare: pancreatitis. Report severe abdominal pain.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack; protect from moisture.
