Saxagliptin 75mg capsules for type 2 diabetes.
Scirica 75mg Cap 14s contains saxagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor for type 2 diabetes. The 75mg strength may be an extended-release or different formulation; usual dose is 2.5–5mg once daily. Take once daily as directed; may be taken with or without food.
Purpose
Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents.
Ingredients
Saxagliptin 75mg per capsule (or strength as per pack; typical saxagliptin dose is 2.5–5mg).
Warnings
Contraindicated in diabetic ketoacidosis. Not for type 1 diabetes. Report severe abdominal pain. Caution in heart failure.
Side Effects
Headache, upper respiratory infection, hypoglycaemia when combined with insulin or sulphonylurea. Rare: pancreatitis. Report severe abdominal pain.
