Syntomax (5Iu/Ml) 1Ml, 50 Ampoule Injections contains synthetic oxytocin (5 IU/ml) for induction or augmentation of labour and control of postpartum haemorrhage. For intravenous or intramuscular use only. Administer only under medical supervision.
Purpose
Induction and augmentation of labour; control of postpartum haemorrhage when prescribed.
Ingredients
Oxytocin 5 IU per ml; 1ml per ampoule.
Warnings
For use under medical supervision only. Contraindicated in certain obstetric situations. Risk of uterine rupture. Not for self-administration.
Side Effects
Uterine hyperstimulation, nausea, water intoxication with prolonged high-dose IV. Report excessive uterine contractions or fluid overload.
