Dutasteride and tamsulosin combination for symptomatic BPH (enlarged prostate) in men.
Tamsol D combines dutasteride (5-alpha-reductase inhibitor) and tamsulosin (alpha-blocker) for symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Dutasteride reduces prostate size over time; tamsulosin relaxes prostate and bladder neck muscles to improve urine flow. One capsule daily as prescribed.
Purpose
Treatment of moderate to severe symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate.
Ingredients
Dutasteride 0.5mg, tamsulosin hydrochloride 0.4mg per capsule.
Warnings
Contraindicated in women and children. Dutasteride may cause foetal harm; women of childbearing potential must not handle leaking capsules. Do not donate blood during and for 6 months after treatment. Orthostatic hypotension may occur; caution when standing. Do not use with other alpha-blockers.
Side Effects
Dizziness, orthostatic hypotension, ejaculation disorders, decreased libido, impotence, breast tenderness or enlargement. PSA is reduced; interpret with caution in prostate cancer screening.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C. Keep in original pack. Women who are or may become pregnant must not handle broken capsules.
