Paracetamol and codeine tablets for mild to moderate pain.
Torphen tablets contain paracetamol (acetaminophen) and codeine phosphate, a combination analgesic. Used for mild to moderate pain when paracetamol alone is insufficient (e.g. musculoskeletal pain, dental pain). Codeine is an opioid; use short-term only. Do not exceed 4g paracetamol in 24 hours. Pack of 100 tablets.
Purpose
Relief of mild to moderate pain when paracetamol alone is insufficient.
Ingredients
Paracetamol and Codeine phosphate; strengths as per pack (e.g. 500mg/8mg or 500mg/15mg per tablet).
Warnings
Contraindicated in respiratory depression, paralytic ileus. Do not exceed 4g paracetamol in 24 hours. Risk of dependence. Avoid alcohol. Not for long-term use without medical supervision.
Side Effects
Constipation, drowsiness, nausea, dizziness. Risk of dependence with prolonged use. Overdose of paracetamol can cause liver damage.

Store below 25C in a dry place. Protect from moisture. Keep in original pack. Keep out of reach of children.
