Valmo (5/160mg) combines valsartan (ARB) and amlodipine (calcium channel blocker) for hypertension. Used when combination therapy is needed. Take once daily as directed; may be taken with or without food.

Purpose

Treatment of essential hypertension when combination therapy is appropriate.

Ingredients

Valsartan 160mg and amlodipine 5mg per tablet.

Warnings

Contraindicated in pregnancy; can cause fetal injury. Caution in severe hepatic impairment and with potassium-sparing diuretics.

Side Effects

Dizziness, oedema, flushing, headache, hyperkalaemia. Report swelling of face or throat or fainting.

Storage Instructions

Store below 30°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack; protect from moisture.
