Vancomycin 1g injection for serious Gram-positive infections (e.g. MRSA).
Vancomycin 1Gm Inj is an intravenous glycopeptide antibiotic for serious Gram-positive bacterial infections, including MRSA. Used in hospital or under strict medical supervision. Dose is adjusted by weight and renal function.
Purpose
Treatment of serious infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), when other antibiotics are not suitable.
Ingredients
Vancomycin hydrochloride equivalent to 1g vancomycin; injection.
Warnings
For use under medical supervision. Monitoring of serum levels and renal function required. Report hearing changes, tinnitus, or kidney problems. Not for routine use without susceptibility confirmation.
Side Effects
Red man syndrome (flushing with rapid infusion), nephrotoxicity, ototoxicity, thrombophlebitis. Report hearing changes, decreased urine output, or rash.
Storage Instructions
