Vepridone 100Ml Oral Solution contains risperidone, an antipsychotic used for schizophrenia, bipolar mania, and irritability in autism. Oral solution allows flexible dosing. Use as directed; do not stop suddenly.
Purpose
Treatment of schizophrenia; short-term treatment of manic episodes in bipolar I disorder; treatment of persistent aggression and irritability in autistic disorder (in certain patients).
Ingredients
Risperidone; strength as per pack (e.g. 1 mg/ml).
Warnings
Prescription only. Increased mortality in elderly with dementia-related psychosis. Do not stop suddenly. May cause drowsiness; avoid driving until effect known. Report involuntary movements.
Side Effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, weight gain, extrapyramidal symptoms, tardive dyskinesia. Elderly with dementia: increased risk of stroke and death. Report mood changes or involuntary movements.
