Vilcret Plus (50/1000mg) 14 Tablets
Vildagliptin 50mg and Metformin 1000mg for type 2 diabetes.
Vilcret Plus 50/1000mg is a fixed-dose combination of vildagliptin 50mg (DPP-4 inhibitor) and metformin 1000mg. Vildagliptin enhances incretin-mediated glucose control; metformin reduces hepatic glucose production. Used for type 2 diabetes when diet and exercise are insufficient. Usually one tablet twice daily with meals.
Purpose
Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise.
Ingredients
Vildagliptin 50mg and Metformin hydrochloride 1000mg per tablet.
Warnings
Contraindicated in severe renal impairment, diabetic ketoacidosis. Risk of lactic acidosis. Not for type 1 diabetes.
Side Effects
Nausea, diarrhea, headache. Rare: lactic acidosis (metformin), pancreatitis.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack to protect from moisture.
