Acyclovir/valacyclovir 250mg tablets for herpes infections.
Viracure (250mg) 10 Tablets contains acyclovir or valacyclovir, an antiviral for herpes simplex and herpes zoster infections. The 250mg strength may be valacyclovir (equivalent to acyclovir). Take as directed; complete the full course and start early for best effect.
Purpose
Treatment of herpes simplex infections (cold sores, genital herpes) and herpes zoster (shingles) when prescribed.
Ingredients
Acyclovir 250mg or valacyclovir equivalent per tablet; as per pack.
Warnings
Drink plenty of fluids. Caution in renal impairment. Not a cure for herpes; may reduce outbreaks. Report signs of kidney problems.
Side Effects
Nausea, headache, dizziness, rash. Rare: renal impairment, neurological effects. Report confusion, rash, or reduced urine output.
