Vmed (10/160mg) 14 Tablets
Valsartan and amlodipine 10/160mg for hypertension.
Vmed (10/160mg) combines valsartan (ARB) and amlodipine (calcium channel blocker) for hypertension. Used when combination therapy is needed. Valsartan blocks angiotensin II; amlodipine relaxes vascular smooth muscle. Take once daily as directed.
Purpose
Treatment of essential hypertension when combination therapy is appropriate.
Ingredients
Valsartan 160mg and amlodipine 10mg per tablet.
Warnings
Contraindicated in pregnancy; can cause fetal injury. Caution in severe hepatic impairment and with potassium-sparing diuretics.
Side Effects
Dizziness, oedema, flushing, headache, hyperkalaemia. Report swelling of face or throat or fainting.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack; protect from moisture.
