Xenglu Met Xr (25/1000mg) 14 Tablets
DPP-4 inhibitor and metformin XR 25/1000mg for type 2 diabetes.
Xenglu Met Xr (25/1000mg) combines extended-release metformin 1000mg with a DPP-4 inhibitor (e.g. linagliptin 25mg or similar) for type 2 diabetes. Used when dual therapy is needed for glycaemic control. Take as directed with meals.
Purpose
Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet and exercise plus single therapy do not achieve adequate glycaemic control.
Ingredients
DPP-4 inhibitor 25mg and metformin hydrochloride 1000mg (extended-release) per tablet.
Warnings
Contraindicated in severe renal impairment and diabetic ketoacidosis. Not for type 1 diabetes. Assess renal function periodically. Not for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice.
Side Effects
Nausea, diarrhoea, abdominal discomfort, headache. Hypoglycaemia when used with insulin or sulphonylurea. Lactic acidosis (rare) with metformin. Report unusual muscle pain or breathlessness.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in a dry place. Keep in original pack; protect from moisture.
