Xiton Syp (Risperidone)
Risperidone syrup for schizophrenia and related disorders.
Xiton Syp (Risperidone) contains risperidone, an atypical antipsychotic in syrup form for schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or irritability in autism. Use as directed; measure with provided device. Do not stop abruptly.
Purpose
Treatment of schizophrenia; short-term treatment of manic episodes in bipolar I disorder; treatment of irritability associated with autism when prescribed.
Ingredients
Risperidone; strength per ml as per pack.
Warnings
Increased mortality in elderly with dementia-related psychosis. Caution in cardiovascular disease and epilepsy. Avoid abrupt withdrawal. Report tardive dyskinesia. May cause drowsiness.
Side Effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, headache, weight gain, extrapyramidal symptoms. Elderly with dementia: increased risk of stroke and death. Report unexplained fever or muscle rigidity.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C. Keep bottle tightly closed. Protect from light. Use within period after opening. Keep out of reach of children.
