Xumax Tab 30s
Sumatriptan tablets for acute migraine attacks.
Xumax contains sumatriptan, a serotonin 5-HT1 receptor agonist used for acute treatment of migraine attacks with or without aura. It constricts cranial blood vessels and inhibits trigeminal nerve activation. Take at the first sign of migraine; do not use for prophylaxis. Not for hemiplegic or basilar migraine. Pack of 30 tablets.
Purpose
Acute treatment of migraine attacks with or without aura.
Ingredients
Sumatriptan (as succinate) 50mg per tablet (or strength as per pack).
Warnings
Contraindicated in coronary artery disease, uncontrolled hypertension, hemiplegic or basilar migraine. Do not use within 24 hours of ergotamines or other triptans. Risk of serotonin syndrome with SSRIs/SNRIs.
Side Effects
Dizziness, fatigue, flushing, nausea, chest or throat tightness. Rare: coronary vasospasm, serotonin syndrome.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25C in a dry place. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
