Ytig Plus 10 Tablets
Vildagliptin and Metformin combination for type 2 diabetes.
Ytig Plus is a fixed-dose combination of vildagliptin (DPP-4 inhibitor) and metformin. Vildagliptin increases incretin-mediated insulin release; metformin reduces hepatic glucose production. Used for type 2 diabetes when blood glucose is inadequately controlled on metformin alone. Usually one tablet twice daily with meals. Pack of 10 tablets.
Purpose
Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise.
Ingredients
Vildagliptin and Metformin hydrochloride; strengths as per pack.
Warnings
Contraindicated in severe renal impairment, diabetic ketoacidosis. Risk of lactic acidosis. Not for type 1 diabetes.
Side Effects
Nausea, diarrhea, headache. Rare: lactic acidosis (metformin), pancreatitis.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25C in a dry place. Keep in original pack to protect from moisture.
