Zolopat Nasal Spray (15ml) is a metered-dose corticosteroid nasal spray containing olopatadine, formulated to manage the symptoms of allergic rhinitis. It works by acting as a highly selective histamine H1 receptor antagonist, stabilizing mast cells to inhibit the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and histamine in the nasal passages. This localized action quickly reduces nasal congestion, frequent sneezing, rhinorrhea, and itchy nasal passages caused by seasonal or perennial allergens.

Purpose

To relieve nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, and nasal itching associated with environmental or seasonal allergies.

Olopatadine HCl 0.6% w/v

Warnings

For intranasal use only and must never be sprayed directly into the eyes or toward the nasal septum. Clear the nasal passages completely before administration and prime the metered pump properly if unused for several days. Use with caution in patients with a history of recent nasal septal ulcers, nasal surgery, or localized nasal trauma. Monitor for signs of localized infection or excessive drowsiness if used concurrently with central nervous system depressants.

Side Effects

Bitter taste or altered taste perception immediately following nasal inhalation of the spray. Localized nasal dryness, minor irritation, or a burning sensation within the nasal mucosa. Epistaxis or minor nosebleeds, especially during dry winter seasons or prolonged usage periods. Transient headache, dizziness, or mild somnolence shortly after using the nasal spray.
