Sem P 2mg/1.5ml Prefilled Injection Pens contain Semaglutide, a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. It works by mimicking natural incretin hormones to stimulate glucose-dependent insulin secretion, decrease inappropriate glucagon secretion, and slow gastric emptying, which significantly lowers blood glucose levels and reduces appetite to support long-term metabolic control.
Purpose
Used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Warnings
Administer strictly via subcutaneous injection once weekly; do not inject intravenously or intramuscularly.
Contraindicated in patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).
Monitor closely for signs of acute pancreatitis, such as persistent, severe abdominal pain radiating to the back.
Adjust doses of concurrent insulin or sulfonylureas carefully to prevent severe hypoglycemia.

Decreased appetite, gradual weight loss, and altered taste perception.
Localized injection site reactions such as mild redness, itching, or swelling.
Transient dizziness, fatigue, or mild elevations in heart rate.
Storage Instructions
Store in a refrigerator between 2°C to 8°C before first use; after initiation, store below 30°C or in a refrigerator and use within 56 days. Do not freeze.
