Arysa 20mg contains Esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor used to reduce the production of stomach acid. It is prescribed for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers and other acid-related digestive disorders. By blocking the enzyme responsible for acid secretion in the stomach lining, it helps relieve heartburn and allows healing of the esophagus and stomach lining. It is also used in combination therapy to eradicate H. pylori infection.

To reduce stomach acid production and treat acid reflux, heartburn and peptic ulcers.

Warnings

Prescription/OTC medicine; long-term use may increase the risk of bone fractures, low magnesium levels and vitamin B12 deficiency. Use with caution in patients with liver disease. Inform your doctor if you are taking clopidogrel, as esomeprazole may reduce its effectiveness. Not recommended for prolonged use without medical supervision.

Side Effects

Common side effects include headache, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, nausea and flatulence. Long-term use has been associated with increased risk of bone fractures, kidney problems and gastrointestinal infections. Seek medical advice if severe diarrhoea, persistent stomach pain or signs of allergic reaction occur.
