Amaryl 3mg New Tablets contain Glimepiride, a third-generation sulfonylurea antidiabetic agent that lowers blood glucose levels by stimulating insulin secretion from the pancreatic beta cells. Unlike older sulfonylureas, Glimepiride also increases insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues, offering a dual mechanism of action for improved glycaemic control. It is prescribed for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus as monotherapy or in combination with Metformin or insulin. The 30-tablet pack provides a standard monthly supply.
