Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure. It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure and reduces strain on the heart. It is usually taken once daily, and unlike some other calcium channel blockers, it is less likely to cause reflex increases in heart rate. Regular blood pressure monitoring is recommended during treatment.
