This combination tablet contains empagliflozin and linagliptin, two medicines that lower blood sugar in type 2 diabetes through complementary mechanisms. Empagliflozin helps the kidneys remove excess glucose through urine, while linagliptin helps the body release more insulin after meals. Together they improve blood sugar control when diet, exercise, and a single medicine are not enough. It is taken once daily with or without food.
