Etoricoxib is a selective COX-2 inhibitor NSAID used to relieve pain and inflammation in conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and gout. It works by reducing the production of inflammatory chemicals while having a lower risk of stomach irritation than older NSAIDs. It is usually taken once daily, with or without food, for the shortest duration needed.
