Clozapine is an antipsychotic medicine used to treat schizophrenia that has not responded to other treatments. It works by altering the activity of certain brain chemicals to improve thinking, mood, and behavior. Because of the risk of a serious drop in white blood cells, regular blood monitoring is required throughout treatment. It should only be used under close medical supervision.
