This combination tablet contains levodopa, carbidopa, and entacapone for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. Levodopa is converted in the brain into dopamine, which is deficient in Parkinson's disease, while carbidopa and entacapone help more levodopa reach the brain by preventing its breakdown elsewhere in the body. It is usually taken multiple times a day on a schedule set by a neurologist to control movement symptoms.
