Fexofenadine is a non-drowsy antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergies such as sneezing, runny nose, itching, and hives. It works by blocking histamine, a chemical the body releases during an allergic reaction. It is usually taken once or twice daily and provides relief within an hour. It causes less drowsiness than older antihistamines.
